We've created a central, holistic skill graph at FranklinCovey. Our main goal was to enable our clients to easily launch and measure relevant learning experiences directly related to the skills they need to build organizationally. The skill graph connects the content from our courses and microlearning to relevant leadership capabilities that build exceptional leaders and transform cultures.
The capabilities and skills defined in our skill graph were determined with several inputs.
-
Extensive desk research from leading academic and industry literature on the capabilities, competencies, and skills associated with workplace behaviors
-
A comprehensive review of several competency and skill maps from clients and other leadership development organizations
-
Consultation with industry-leading practitioners
This work, as well as the development and writing of the related diagnostic, was completed by two PhDs with backgrounds in assessments and psychometrics.
As we continue to move forward with this data-driven exploration of the effectiveness of the skill classification, we are engaging with external consulting firms specializing in psychometrics to validate our results with a strict focus on observable behavior change.
Please review the Skill Graph slipsheet in order to learn more about FranklinCovey's skill graph.
