Client Admins have the ability to customize existing OnDemand Courses and Microcourses! Client Admins can add, reorder, and remove learning activities, embed external links in the syllabus, and adjust the course length. Admins can also give their customized course a new title and save it so they can assign the custom course to additional teams and passes.
- Navigate to the Library tab of the Admin Platform
- Locate the OnDemand Course or Microcourse that you would like to customize
- Click assign
- Select a pass or team(s) who you would like to assign the course to
- Click 'confirm assignees'
- Select a date under the 'Set Start Date' selector*
*In order to start customizing your course a Client Admin must select a start date. Once the Admin has selected a start date, you will see 3 gray vertical dots appear to the left of each content. The 3 gray dots indicate that you can now start customizing your course*
Below are the available options to customize your OnDemand Course and Microcourse so it is best suited for your learners.
Re-order Content: Select the content that you would like to move and drag it to the desired placement.
Delete Content: Hover over the content that you would like to delete and then click the trash icon to the right.
Add an External Link*:
- Click add in the bottom right corner of the week where you'd like to add content.
- Select 'Learning Activity'
- Click 'Use URL'
- Add any URL and give the URL a Title
- Click 'Add'
*Please note, at this time you are unable to edit the title of the External Link after you've added it. If you need to make any changes to the link or title prior to assigning it to your learners, you may delete it and add it again.
Add FranklinCovey Learning Activities:
- Click add in the bottom right corner of the week where you'd like to add content.
- Select 'Learning Activity'
- Search the FranklinCovey library for On Demand Modules, Exercises, and Articles
- When you've found content that you would like to add to your customized course, click "Add"
Add Weeks To Your Syllabus:
- Click add in the bottom right corner of the week where you'd like to add content.
- Select 'Add Extra Week'
Update Due Dates: Select the date next to the content you're looking to update. Select a new due date from the calendar dropdown. It is recommended to update or assign due dates as a last step after the syllabus has been organized according to your preference. In some instances, moving the learning activities will automatically populate due dates.
Once you've finalized your syllabus, click confirm due dates. Select how frequently you want your learners to recieve email reminders. You can select, no email reminders, weekly, or every 2 weeks. You also have the option to set the day of the week you would like your learners to receive email reminders.
*Note - Learners will always receive a Course Welcome Email on the start date so they know they have been enrolled in the course.
We recommend saving your custom course and giving it a unique title so it is easily identifiable for Admins and Learners. This can create clarity for any internal programs the course is associated with, the groups of learners who will be participating, or the objectives for the assignment. If you decide to save the course, you can view it in your library and later reassign it to additional teams and cohorts.
