Technical Integration (LMS/LXP)

At FranklinCovey, our content, people, and technology meet you where your learners are. Our Impact Platform is designed for an optimal learning journey, with navigation, content, notifications, and reinforcement working together to keep learners engaged and learning over time. We also realize that many organizations have their own Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (LXP). If you prefer to have your learners stay within your platform, we have options to provide access to FranklinCovey content, while providing you with learning data.

• FranklinCovey Content is available for use on your LMS/LXP in 2 formats:

  • Direct Links to the FranklinCovey Impact Platform

• Whichever Content Format and Delivery Method you choose, you will have access to Learner Engagement Data

ACCESS

Where will your learners start their FranklinCovey Learning Journey?

• The FranklinCovey Impact Platform
  • This option provides:
    • The entire library of On Demand Courses, Microcourses, Modules, Exercises, articles, videos, and tools without any work by your team
    • A designed learning experience for spaced learning, including email notifications and reminders for every course
    • FranklinCovey Diagnostics
    • Access to 25 Languages
    • SSO is available for simple sign-in
    • Access to the FC Dashboard, which has comprehensive learning data for your administrators
• In my organization’s LMS/LXP
  • This option provides:
    • Access to FranklinCovey’s Modules, Exercises, articles, and videos - all while staying in your own LMS/LXP
    • Flexibility to organize the content in a way that works for you and your learners
    • Learning engagement data is available to you, including:
      • UserID & email
      • Resource ID, Name, Type
      • Completion Date

LEARNING

If your learners are starting on your LMS/LXP, will they use links to the FranklinCovey Impact Platform or stay within your Platform?

• Use Direct Links to the FranklinCovey Impact Platform

• • Direct Links provide the following
    • Learners can access all learning content across your organization in the same place, while still gaining the experience benefits of using the FC Impact Platform
    • SSO is available for simple sign-in
    • Data is available to you in 2 ways:
      • Access to the FC Dashboard, which has comprehensive learning data for your administrators
      • Sent to your LMS for display in your dashboards
• Learners will stay within your LMS/LXP
  • SCORM 1.2 files are available to upload into your LMS/LXP
    • These files are small in size, contain multiple languages within the same file, and will always be up-to-date
    • Data is tracked within your LMS
    • Additional fees apply for access to SCORM files

DATA

How will you view Learning Engagement Data from FranklinCovey Content?

• How you view the learning data is dependent on the integration path chosen. It is different for Direct links and Scorm files:
  • Direct Links
    • For Direct Links, your learners will be completing their learning on the Impact Platform, so you can either:
      • View the FranklinCovey Impact Platform Dashboard, which has comprehensive learning data for your administrators
      • View this data within your LMS by
        • Connecting to our Impact Platform Completion API
          • View our API Documentation for available data
        • Enabling an automated SFTP Data Transfer to regularly update your LMS/LXP
          • FranklinCovey will regularly place a learning data file in a shared SFTP site
          • Your team will enable the regular retrieval of this file and upload it to your LMS
          • Work with our Technical Support team and your LMS/LXP to set this up

            • We provide UTF encoding for our Data Transfers. If you require a different encoding please let us know.

  • SCORM Files
    • Our SCORM files automatically send learning data to your LMS/LXP
      • You can work within your LMS/LXP to ensure this data is displaying to your expectations

CONTENT DELIVERY

How would you like to receive and upload Franklin Covey Content into your LMS/LXP?

• Both Direct Links and SCORM files can be delivered to you in 2 ways:
  • Self-Serve Download Center
    • All Exercises, Modules, Articles, Videos and Tools are available
    • You can use search or filtering to find the exact pieces of content or whole courses that you need or download all available from FranklinCovey
    • Each Download comes with:
      • A metadata file corresponding to the content you downloaded, which lets you add details and imagery to the content in your LMS/LXP
      • An All Courses file, which outlines the structure and details of all FC On-Demand Courses and Microcourses
  • API
    • The FC API is available to automate the upload of FranklinCovey content into your LMS/LXP
    • This requires your technical team to read our API documentation and connect to the FC API
    • Using the API will save the manual work in uploading the FC content, and ensure that all 1700+ pieces of content are available in your LMS/LXP
      • All Exercises, Modules, articles, videos and tools are included
    • New content and any metadata updates will automatically be added
    • All data is automatically shared with your LMS/LXP
