SSO Auto-Provisioning
Defined:
Auto-provisioning automatically creates an account when a user assigned to your active directory group accesses the FranklinCovey Impact Platform. Provisioning supports Impact Platform account creation but does not automatically sync to remove users when they are removed from your active directory.
Benefits:
SSO provisioning is beneficial for clients with a predefined user group or who would like to make the Impact Platform available for users to 'opt-in' to the site.
When enabled, provisioning alleviates the account creation portion of user management. Admins can rest assured that their site users will automatically be granted Impact Platform access with permissions for the default user role.
Creating Accounts
Welcome Email
Users accessing the site with SSO provisioning enabled will automatically receive the Impact Platform Welcome Email. The Impact Platform Welcome Email article provides a copy of the SSO-enabled welcome email template.
Default User Role
Admins will choose a default user role for new accounts to be created under. The user roles for learners are Individual Contributor or Manager; the roles have standard learner access and determine whether select platform content is individual contributor or manager-related.
Note: Although a default role is chosen with provisioning, admins can edit the user role type after account creation using the instructions in the Edit & Manage an Individual Learner's Profile article.
Weekly Newsletter
Users will be subscribed to the FranklinCovey Weekly Tips Newsletter when their accounts are created with provisioning. The FranklinCovey Weekly Tips Newsletter Emails article provides samples and more information about the newsletter.
Please submit a support request if you're interested in enabling SSO provisioning.
