Problem
If you see small boxes instead of verbiage on your English language report, then you are encountering a language conflict on your assessment.
The small boxes in the comment fields are an indication that comments were entered in a language that the English font is not capable of rendering, so the font replaces the characters with boxes. This can happen with any language that has a significantly different character set from English (Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Thai, etc.).
Solution
To be able to read the missing comments, you need to change your report language preference to match the missing character set, then regenerate their report.
- First, log in to the assessment website (https://assessments.franklincovey.com/) and click on the ‘Edit Profile’ button.
-
Next, change the field labeled ‘Report Language Preference’ to match the language used to type the comments (you should have a good idea what language is should be).
| Once the language preference is updated, you can access your workshop page again and regenerate your report and it will be in the language you selected (i.e. Japanese, Thai, etc.); however, now you will be able to read the previously missing comments. |
